12 weeks in my new job! Good point to have a look back …

This year I decided to change the company I work for to have more time with my family and reduce the time commuting to work. 🚆
In my previous job I traveled a lot between my home town and Berlin. That was okay, but of course it was a trade off with my family life. 👨👩👦
Now I work 100% remote with the option to be in the celebrate company Hamburg office. During the last 12 weeks I visited the office almost every week! I was able to combine it bringing my son to the kindergarten. 🤩 In addition I visited my Rosemood colleagues in France.
This type of freedom works much better for me! I am not forced to go to the office, but have the option to do it 👍

In the first 12 weeks I had the following 5 goals 👇
1. Get to know every member of my team, set up reporting lines and team structure.
2. Get a first feeling of improvement opportunities in my department.
3. Synch with the CEO about my understanding of product management and the expectations about the next year.
4. Identify partners in crime and key stakeholders to work with and start building relationships.
5. Make the first impact as a product leader.
Even though I still have some more things to do, I achieved progress in all of them. That’s important to me! 🤨 Why?
The faster I get a connection to the team, clarify the work related, critical questions and get in synch with the CEO and my colleagues, the faster I can bring value to my team and company! 💎
As a leader I have to find out for myself what’s necessary to make impact and if I can make impact in existing structures.
Never forget that’s it’s also a decision if YOU want to stay in a company or not. Too many people believe that only the company must decide if you fit or not, but that’s wrong. 🫵
At celebrate company I have the feeling that I can make an impact in the upcoming months and years. I will be able to create value for the people I work with, for our customers and business. Of course it’s a lot of work, but that was expected! Life would be boring for me without big challenges. 🚀

Great interview, but if I'm being honest felt more like 'why I'm still a Calvinist' than 'Christian'. I respect that Kristen's faith tradition is important to her, and she can obviously share to the level she feels comfortable with and no more, but this was a very intellectual conversation. I'd have appreciated hearing more about Kristen's personal faith in Jesus Himself and why that is not shaken despite the attacks she's endured. Tapout Bjj

I really enjoyed your reflection on the first 12 weeks in your new job it’s so relatable how you balance learning curves, small wins, and figuring things out as you go. Reading this during a packed study week made me smile, because there were times I just wanted to complete my online calculus class so I could slow down and truly enjoy thoughtful posts like this.
This contemplation of the initial 12 weeks illustrates how assessing progress aids in refining both direction and confidence. This perspective also resonated with my academic endeavors taking a step back proved beneficial. In the process of revisiting my draft, I opted to edit my law project online with Academic editors, which contributed to enhancing the structure and clarifying my arguments.
